Our family loves being part of International Montessori School (IMS). You feel like a big family. The staff are open and friendly. Their hands-on approach to learning has helped our child develop in knowledge, skills, values, and personality. The lessons are tailored to the student's interest to keep them engaged in the learning process. The environment is clean and conducive to learning. The area is quite secure as well. My wife is an elementary school children and looked at many pre-schools before deciding on IMS.
Our family relocated from Texas in October 2014. Our oldest child was transferring from a Montessori School in Dallas. IMSchools have such a warm, nurturing environment and stays true to the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori. The teachers are so in tune with each child’s unique personality and style of learning.
I had visited every daycare in my area in hopes of walking into one and getting that feeling that, "this is it."
That's when we found International Montessori School and FINALLY had that, "this is it," moment we had been searching for all along.
What sets the International Montessori School apart from all of the other daycares we visited is apparent as soon as you walk in. It doesn't look like a daycare, but a home away from home. The classrooms have natural lighting from windows in the buildings and lamps that light the rooms instead of fluorescent lighting that you see everywhere else you go. The classrooms are organized, clean, and filled with materials and activities that have educational purpose instead of plastic toys and clutter that are so often used just to pacify children. What we also loved is that the classrooms are a mix of different (but appropriate) age groups so that the smaller children can learn from the bigger children. I feel that my daughter is so advanced for her age because of all she's learning from her older classmates.
If you're looking for a place that truly cares for and teaches your child(ren) life skills and lessons, and not just a babysitter with jumperoos, then this is the place for your child! I promise you won't be disappointed!
We enrolled our son in International Montessori Schools for a variety of reasons. At the start we did not know a lot about Montessori education except that is was an alternative approach. We believe in the child’s capacity to learn by self-direction and were hoping for an environment where creativity and diversity were emphasized
When we interviewed, a lot of the things we heard were confirmed and we learned more about Montessori. Here are a few of the things that became most important to us.
Teaching respect as a central value
Mixed age groups, children teaching other children
Discipline: Focus on behaviors, helping children work through difficult behaviors
Our son has flourished at International Montessori Schools and we are confident that this school is the best choice for early child development.
We love International Montessori Schools for so many reasons. The teachers…… they are amazing, welcoming and caring, and you can truly tell they love each one of these children and treat them like their own. We chose (IM) schools because of the warm feeling we immediately got from our first visit and the welcoming nature of all the teachers. The teachers made the transition to the school beyond easy because of their reassurance that "everything will be fine",…. and it was. We absolutely love the Montessori program and the philosophy behind it.
The moment I walked through the doors of International Montessori Schools I felt the peacefulness and warmth immediately. I felt comfortable knowing my daughter would be in good hands, and there is no better feeling to a parent. Watching my child learn and grow has made me so proud.

‘International Montessori School has been an absolute blessing in our lives.
My daughter is almost 2 years old, and from the very beginning of our journey with IMSchools, my daughter has excelled, coming home each day with something new. She is now in Miss J’s class (an AMAZING person). I am completely shocked each day when I hear my Daughter counting her cheerios and singing her ABC's at not even 2 years of age!!
Miss J is so wonderful and is always so attentive to my daughter's every need. She is on top of everything and super informative about my daughter's progress. Choosing to send our child to IMSchools, has been the best decision we have made for her thus far. I am so incredibly pleased with everyone at the school, and I cannot express to you enough how amazing it really is. I very highly recommend sending your child to IMSchools.
International Montessori Royersford is an incredible place, which has enhanced the development of our child beyond our expectations. The care and attention to each student's emotional and educational needs are evident on a daily basis. The staff made the transition into a new school seamless for our family and we're so thankful to be a part of the IM community.
My daughter has been attending International Montessori of Royersford for about a year. I am very happy with the school. I have seen a good amount of growth in my daughter since she has been attending. I really trust and like the teachers, they all have a very soft touch with the children. My daughter had to transition from the infant room to the pre-primary room and the teachers and school are working well with her and provide updates on her development in her new room. I highly recommend the school.
This is not a daycare! The school and materials are new and top quality. The staff at this school are beyond amazing. I enrolled both my 3 yr old and 12 month old sons when the school first opened. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the care for our children. All the teachers have been very calm, supportive, and engaging. My previous experience with other Montessori schools and daycares has been that teachers didn't connect with the children consistently, instead they spend the day shuffling kids around the classroom throughout the day. That was not our experience at IMS Royersford. There was not a time when we picked our children up and the teacher/guide was not fully engaged. I don't believe this was just because of the small classroom size. These teachers/guide truly love exploring and engaging with their students. The difference was huge with my 3 now 4 year old. He advanced tremendously in such a short period of time. Reading, geography, and adding 3-digit numbers before his 4 birthday. My now 19 month old is extremely curious, independent, and showing significant developmental advancement. By far, the best decision we have made as parents!
